Захистила кандидатську дисертацію з історії "Бомонд: держава та сцена на краю імперії. Росія та Радянська Україна, 1916-1941 рр." у Прінстонському університеті. Має науковий ступінь з російської літератури та ступінь магістра з акторського мистецтва.

Сфера наукових зацікавлень: соціальна історія культури, культурна історія суспільства, культурний обмін на імперському пограниччі, управління, творчість, сприймання мистецтва.Протягом зимового семестру 2011 р. проводила семінарський курс "За лаштунками пограниччя: питання соціальної історії мистецтва" у рамках спільного проекту Центру міської історії та Українського Католицького Університету для студентів УКУ та програми МІГуС. В семінарі брали участь також студенти і аспіранти інших навчальних закладів.
