Though art has existed in the world for over ten thousand years, the Greeks are the ones who initiated the discussion about its nature. The lecture indicated that this tradition is still with us today. An antique tragedy, a gothic cathedral, the Versailles gardens, a novel or an abstract painting: they all have a common European root.
Lecture is a part of the lecture series "Opening the World of Art".
