The tour is targeting workshop participants and a wider group of professionals in Lviv who will discuss the suggested approach to presentation of the topic, and exchange their experiences and challenges in running theme-based tours about the Second World War in Lviv.

During the tour, the authors will speak on Jewish community of Lviv, and tell about Lviv ghetto, occupation administrations, Lviv prisons, and totalitarian regimes. A special focus will be on personal memories of survivors of the Second World War in Lviv, and on other testimonies of that time.

The tour will be conducted by organizers of the project Free Walkative! Tour

Andriy Kusiy

a tour guide in Lviv and western Ukraine, a philologist;

Nadiya Makaryshyn

a tour guide, a lecturer and post-graduate student at the Department of English Philology of Ivan Franko Lviv National University.

Free Walkative! Tour – a project founded over 10 years ago in Krakow. Currently, active in 9 cities in Poland and Ukraine. In Lviv, it has ben present since 2017. The goal is to share knowledge and passion for the home city with anyone interested.

The pilot tour is part of the practical program for tour guides developed within the project "ReHERIT: shared responsibility for common heritage".

The "ReHERIT: shared responsibility for common heritage" project is funded by the European Union.
