Anastasiia Fabirovska

coordinator of academic events and educational programs (2026-now)

She earned a BA in history from the Ukrainian Catholic University (2025), where she defended her thesis titled 'The Treatise on Turkey' (1622) by Ottavio Sapiencia as a Source for the Study of the Black Sea Region. She is currently pursuing the joint master's program between UCU and the University of Nottingham, "The Future of Heritage: History, Culture, Literature," where she is working on a thesis about the memorialization of the Spanish Civil War in the urban space of Lviv.

Before joining the Center, she worked as a communications manager at the UCU Faculty of Humanities and at the nonprofit organization ConUcrania.

Research interests: urban space, oral history, historical heritage, and memory politics.

At the Center for Urban History, she helps organize academic events and assists with the educational platform REESOURCES: Rethinking Eastern Europe.
