Zenoviya Tkanko

Zenoviya Tkanko gave a lecture in which she discussed the history of colour, the spectre of psychological particularities and symbolism of colour, chromo-therapy, colour associations and their advantages, as well as colour in contemporary fashion and design.

Zenoviya Tkanko

is a candidate of art criticism, a professor, and is a member of Ukraine’s designer’s union. She works in the area of the artistic design of costumes (festivals, stage). As an educator in the department of costume design, she gives a course titled “Knowing Color.” Tkanko is a co-organizer of international competitions and festivals of fashion, coeditor of the educational-artistic almanac LAM, propagates the art of costume on radio, television and in the press. She has been awarded the Silver medal from the Academy of Arts of Ukraine (2010).

The talk took place within the framework of the exhibition of contemporary graphics from the British Council’s collection "Seeing in Color."
