Fourteen participants of the photo plein Air – students and master’s degree candidates – from Ukraine, Poland and the Czech Republic will wander around Lviv’s streets and document, through photography, the city’s multicultural heritage and contemporary flavor.

The goal of the project is to popularize multiculturalism in Ukraine and Poland through cultural-artistic activities and the exchange of common interests in an international group. To underscore the ancient tradition of multiculturalism on the territory of Central Europe, professional photographers from Poland, Ukraine (Ilya Levin), and the Czech Republic (Jiří Černohorský) were invited to participate in the plein air.

The organizer of the project is the association "New Generation" (Wroclaw). The co-organizers are the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Wroclaw, the Center for Urban History of East-Central Europe in Lviv and "Vernyhora," a Ukrainian studies student group at Jagellonian University.

The result of the project is to be an exhibit that will visit Lviv, Krakow and Wroclaw in 2010-2011.
