Deadline: June 15, 2025

We invite you to apply for a scholarship for researchers of Jewish history, heritage, and culture.

The fellowship is a collaboration between the Center for Urban History in Lviv and the Taube Department of Jewish Studies at the University of Wrocław.

The duration of the fellowship is six months (July – December 2025), during which the two researchers will have the opportunity to receive a stipend of £3250.

Under the terms of the fellowship program, the fellow will work independently on their research, and a research visit to Lviv for a period of at least one month is also expected.

During their stay in Lviv, the fellows will have the opportunity to stay in the guest rooms of the Center for Urban History, as well as have their own workplace in the office, where they will be able to consult with the Center's team and jointly establish professional contacts with the community. The Center also offers access to its library, the materials of the Urban Media Archive, and the opportunity to discuss preliminary research findings at the Urban Seminar or present them in the format of a public lecture.

At the end of the fellowship, the researcher will have to write a month by month report on the work done during the fellowship, the achievement of their research goals, the availability of published or unpublished texts during the fellowship, etc.
