Ph.D. in History (2011), Associate Professor in the Department of History, Archaeology, and Local History at T.G. Shevchenko National University "Chernihiv Collegium," Head of the Fieldwork Sector at the Research Center for Oral History Studies. By education, she is a historian and psychologist. Her research interests focus on oral history, ethnography, and documenting experiences of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, particularly children's and family narratives. Concurrently, she is deepening her professional psychological training at the Ukrainian Institute of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy in the following areas: mental health of children, youth, and their families; psychotraumatology and trauma-focused CBT; and the CBT model for developing emotional regulation and assertiveness skills. This forms an interdisciplinary approach to working with traumatic experiences at the intersection of the humanities and evidence-based psychology.
In her practical work, she coordinates field expeditions, develops methodological guidelines for interviewers, systematizes and archives materials, and ensures psychologically sensitive interaction with respondents. Her professional interest lies in combining oral history methodology with trauma-informed approaches and ethical standards for working with vulnerable groups, particularly children.
During the LivArch scholarship for documenting and archiving the war, she will implement her project, the central outcome of which will be an original training course for history students that integrates fieldwork methodologies with psychological components: identifying trauma-sensitive information, ethics of interaction with vulnerable respondents, and practices for preserving the researcher’s mental health.
