Proposed to the reader’s attention was one more book from the "Lviv Streets and Stone Buildings" series. The first journey book, published in 2008 under the name "Lviv Streets and Buildings, Stone Walls, Nooks, Suburbs and Other Particulars of the Kingly Capital City of Halychyna," could not accommodate all the particulars of the urban structure of Lviv and its surroundings. Thus, two more books exploring other regions – the Zhovkva suburbs and Novyi Svit – have also been published. Along with a general picture of Lviv, readers have the possibility of becoming acquainted with separate parts of the city that reveal additional streets, buildings, corners, as well as the people who lived within those walls.

Explored in this volume is the ancient Luchakiv suburb, which incorporates the one-time eastern part of Lviv, the kingly capital city. The book also contains information about the villages and communities that existed beyond the boundaries of the suburb: Vynnyky, Mykolayiv, Vyzhniany, Hlyniany, Kryvchytsi, Lysynychi, Pidberiztsi and Chyshky.
