11.5.2026, 16:00

online / Zoom

During the presentation, Orysia Vira will explore the capabilities of the Omeka.net platform as a tool for creating digital collections, online exhibitions, and publishing open-access digital resources. Particular attention will be paid to the platform’s structure, principles of working with metadata, organizing digital objects, and constructing narratives in a digital environment.

The speaker will demonstrate the basic steps of working with Omeka.net—from creating a collection to its public presentation. Thus, participants will learn how to adapt this tool for teaching, student projects, and research initiatives. The presentation will be based on the educational Digital History Handbook, co-edited by Orysia Vira and Taras Nazaruk, as well as the researcher’s own experience working on digital projects.

The event will be launched online. To receive an invitation to participate in events, please contact Sofia Andrusyshyn via email: s.andrusyshyn@lvivcenter.org.ua. The working language is Ukrainian with simultaneous interpretation into English .
