Sofia Dyak was appointed the new director of the Center for Urban History of East Central Europe. She had been head of the Center's research projects since 2008.

Sofia Dyak

is a graduate of the history faculty at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. She received her master’s degree from the Central European University in Budapest, completed postgraduate studies at Lviv’s Ivan Franko National University and her doctorate studies at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Warsaw), where she defended her dissertation “(Re)imagined Cityscapes: Lviv and Wroclaw after 1944/45).”
