The gallery features photographs from a tour of Galicia taken by graduates of the Lwow Academic Gymnasium. The tradition of school graduates going on tours existed already in Austrian Galicia, but only became widespread in the interwar period.
Participants of the tour are Ukrainian Gymnasium (high school) graduates, who absolved their graduation exam in 1930. Among them were Yaroslav Versakovskyi, Mykhailo Huziuk, Myroslav Zharskyi, and others. It is known that these graduates were involved in Ukrainian athletic organizations of interwar Poland, while during the Second World War, some of them joined the "Galicia" Waffen SS Division.
The photographs, supplied by Mykhailo Huziuk, one of the participants of the tour, were collected and described by Stepan Haiduchok. Today these photographs belong to the collection of the Krypiakevych family.
