She studied at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, in the department of social studies and social technologies where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 2010. Maryana graduated from a Master's program in media-communications at the Ukrainian Catholic University (2015), where she defended her Master's thesis on the topic: "The City as a Communication Space: Mobility and the Public Sphere."
During 2011-2014 worked as a Public Relations specialist in the travel company Algol. She completed an internship at ProMova (2015). Maryana was responsible for communications in the social networks during the launch of the online radio station Aristocrats JAZZ (2015). Worked as a volunteer translator in the Euromaidan Press-Center in Lviv, and participated in Ukrainian and international research projects on the topics of education, media, and protest movements.
At the Center for Urban History, she is coordinating academic and public events, and in charge of the content of the Center’s website and social media profiles.
