Our team brings together representatives of different disciplines. This reflects the main objective of the Center – to combine the research of cities and their histories with projects designed for a wide audience, especially projects in public history. This diversity helps to create an environment opened to new ideas and approaches for implementing interdisciplinary research and educational programs.
Historians, sociologists, architects, art historians, and cultural studies experts work at the Center for Urban History. Another important direction of our work is to develop an urban media archive and digital history, so it is important to cooperate with IT professionals and designers. The daily operation and work of the office is ensured by the Center's administration. We also work with researchers and guest lecturers from other institutions and different countries who carry out their own research as well as joint projects with the Center and who give lectures and teach seminar courses.
