On Gender Equality in Ukraine

For the second time in its history, a demonstration calling for equal rights between women and men took place in Lviv on 13 March  2010. The event was organized by the Polish-Ukrainian group, "Gender Lviv". The manifestation was accompanied by various interesting events, including lectures, workshops and concerts.

Following the event, at 3 pm, a lecture and discussion about the social-political movement of women in twentieth century Ukraine took place at the Center for Urban History. Feminists and advocates for women’s rights from Poland participated in this international event to discuss possible cooperation in the struggle against stereotypes and discrimination.
