August 6, 2019 Intimate Chronologies of the Euromaidan | Urban Seminar On August 6, at 4 pm, there will be the Urban Seminar with Hana Jostikova. The researcher will share her analysis of a series of 110 interviews recorded by researchers of the Center for Urban History with participants of the Maidan. Also, Hana will propose useful ways of organizing this data that would inform the operational and ideational nuances of individual protest participation, and qualitative changes to these over the duration of the protest period. August 13, 2019 Lviv Polytechnic | Urban Seminar On August 13, at 4 pm, we invite you to the Urban Seminar by Olha Zarechnyuk on the Habsburg Higher Technical School in Lviv. The theme is part of larger-scale research where it will be the basis to cover the history of the faculty of civil construction (architecture) and architectural ideas that shaped Lviv professional environment of architects in the second half of the 19th and early 20th century. August 20, 2019 SOUND iD | Presentation On August 20, at 6.30 pm, there will be a presentation of an international project on the preservation of private memory in digital culture "SOUND iD *heritage of Volodymyr Perzhylo." In the project, an online media archive of Ukrainian folklore was launched, and it also hosts a residency that brings together curators, artists, and researchers from Belarus, Slovakia, Poland, and Ukraine. August 22, 2019 Archives of Memory | Screening On August 22, at 6.30 pm, the "Kinopalac" cinema will host a Wiz-Art festival and have a special screening of a selection of films made on the basis of archive materials. August 29, 2019 Avant-Garde Born in Pidzamche | Lecture On August 29, at 7.00 pm, at the "Jam Factory" Andrij Bojarov will deliver a lecture on the history of the artes group (1929-1935) and a Lviv milieu of Avant-Garde artists. The group included artists from different communities of Lviv, such as Poles, Jews, and Ukrainians. Its creation and activities were related to global art centers such as in Paris. Read more
