February 12, 2019 Obertyn, Обертин, אָבערטין On February 12, at 6.30 pm, welcome to the book presentation "Obertyn, Обертин, אָבערטין – opowieści o życiu miasteczka/stories on the town life." In this bilingual Polish-Ukrainian book, the stories of citizens are intertwined to produce a collective narrative in a small town in Pokuttia area in ca. 1918 until the late 1950s. Read more
July 14, 2019 Light in Their Home Until July 7, the exhibition "Light in Their Home" can be seen in the Living Room Café and the conference room of the Center. Family photos of Jan and Sofia Otko were digitized, and are part of collections of Urban Media Archive. Most photos were taken in Lviv in the 1930s, by Jan Otko. They captured the moments from their family life, portraits of his wife Sofia, and numerous photos of their son Andriy. Read more
February 20, 2019 Doodle-Biddle-Buddle: [unarchiving] On February 20, at 6.30 pm, there will be a film screening of the amateur films produced by the "Doodle-Biddle-Buddle" creative team in the 1970s in Lviv. February 25, 2019 The Great War: Lecture in Luxembourg On February 25, at 11.30 am, at the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History Olena Betlii and Taras Nazaruk will deliver a lecture on a general context of the Great War on the Eastern front with a special focus on home front cities like Kyiv and Lviv. The talk will also highlight the digital projects 'Lviv in the Great War' and 'City on the Line'. Read more
